Scrap ‘n’ Yap: A Creative Night for Busy Brains and Tired Nervous Systems
Low-pressure creative time. Good conversation. Come as you are.
Scrap N Yap is a relaxed, drop-in style creative gathering designed to help people slow down, make something with their hands, and connect with others, without pressure, perfection, or high costs.
Held every other Thursday evening at The Clapping Monkey, this three-hour session offers free-form creative time where you can work on junk journals, collage, paper crafts, mixed media projects, or anything else you feel drawn to explore.
Bring your own supplies or use the shared materials provided. A suggested $10 donation helps replenish supplies, but no one will ever be turned away for financial reasons. This space is about access, care, and community first.
New to junk journaling or paper crafts? No problem. Gentle guidance and optional prompts will be available, along with opportunities to try new techniques from time to time. If you prefer to stay focused quietly on your own project, that’s completely welcome too. Socializing is optional. This is your time.
Whether you come to chat, create, decompress, or simply sit with others while making something, Scrap N Yap is a space to show up as you are and leave a little lighter than you arrived.
